5. Test Track

Vroom Vroom!

Starting the list off at fifth of the best rides at EPCOT is Test Track. This attraction has always been a staple for my family and I. We always enjoy creating our own vehicles pre-ride and seeing who’s creation performs the best. Just another one of those competition moments!

Test Track takes its guests into the laboratory of Chevrolet to bring their vehicle creation ideas to life, not literally, but it is cool to imagine! The interactive design studio allows you to unleash your creativity as you craft your own virtual concept car, pushing the boundaries of innovation and engineering. It is pretty cool to do and the kids always have a blast with it!

Soon you will be putting your creation through various phases of testing out on the track, so buckle up because you never know what can go wrong! These phases include anything from acceleration and brake testing to a precision handling course that may test your mettle. I won’t ruin it all for you, so let’s move on.

The high-speed finale comes last and is the most fun, obviously. Who doesn’t like to go fast? Your vehicle will exit to the outside track and reach some wild speeds. The G-Force alone will press you into your seat, and for a moment, you’re transported to the cutting edge of automotive performance.

This attraction does have a height requirement of 40in (102cm) or taller for those young innovators.

If you are an enjoyer of all things cars, want to feel like you are bringing your own innovation to life, and then taking it out on the test track, then this is a ride for you! This is where innovation and excitement collide with speed and adrenaline!

4. Frozen Ever After

“Some people are worth melting for.” – Olaf

Get ready to float through the kingdom of Arendelle and meet your Frozen friends! Maybe sing with them too!

Personally, I believe that this attraction delivers on every level. The animatronics are sooo lifelike, the music will have you singing along, and the special effects will have you feeling like you are a long way from home and actually in the kingdom of Arendelle!

The setting for the attraction is that Elsa brought forth a “Summer Snow Day” on the citizens of Arendelle. You will notice the advertisements for the winter festival as you wait to board your vessels. The queue is done very well so pay attention to the detail of Wandering Oaken’s Trading Post!

As you board your vessel you are swept into a tale of love, adventure, and the power of sisterhood. Floating through iconic scenes inspired by the films, every moment feels like a journey into the heart of the story. From Olaf and Sven to Anna and Elsa, you will meet all your favorites and get to sing a tune or two with them!

This attraction has no height or age requirement. Everyone is welcome to experience Arendelle! You might get a little wet on this ride, but nothing crazy.

Whether you are a fan of Frozen or not, do yourself a favor and set sail to Arendelle. Sing along to “Let It Go” at the top of your lungs and enjoy the boat ride!

3. Soarin’

“Adventure is worthwhile.” – Amelia Earhart

Have you ever wanted to take a hang glide tour around the world? You get to on this ride at EPCOT!

Shortly after you enter the theater and take a seat on your hang glider, the lights dim, the screen comes to life, and before you know it, you’re soaring high above the clouds. The sensation of flight is so realistic, you can almost feel the wind in your hair and the sun on your face.

The stunning visuals whisk you away to some of the world’s most breathtaking destinations, from the peaks of the Swiss Alps to the sun-kissed shores of Sydney Harbor. Soarin’ is not just a visually stimulating experience either! As you glide over the wonders of the world, you’re treated to a lot of different aromas that truly bring each scene to life. It’s a sensory experience like no other, almost like a feast for your senses!

The attraction has a height requirement of 40in (102cm) or taller.

Soarin’ is truly a celebration of the beauty and wonder of our world that will leave you feeling elated. My family and I typically make time for this ride multiple times a trip. If you find yourself around close to closing time you can get multiple rides easily! So hang on and enjoy the sights, sounds, and smells of the world!

Remys Ratatouille Adventure

Dreamland Diary

2. Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure

“If you are what you eat, then I only want to eat the good stuff.” – Remy

As you make your way through the streets of Paris, through the smell of the freshly baked pastries, be sure to go around back to Gusteau’s restaurant and experience the culinary adventure that Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure takes you on!

Everyone I know who has ridden this ride has absolutely loved it and the experience along with it! This is another ride that my family and I ride multiple times if time allows!

Upon entering the attraction you will make your way through the queue which is where you will be shrunk to the size of a rat. Once you are in your cart, shaped like a rat (do not worry you are not actually shrunk to the size of a rat), you will soon find yourself on the kitchen floor and evading all the cooks.

Remy and friends then take you on a daring chase, dodging obstacles, and narrowly escaping danger. As you dart your way through the bustling kitchen and dining area of Gusteau’s restaurant, it really all comes to life with sights, sounds, and even smells of the French cuisine. The Disney Imagineers really knocked it out of the park with this attraction!

This attraction does not have a height or age requirement. Everyone is welcome in the kitchen of Gusteau, well unless you are a rat I guess.

If you have a love for anything culinary, adore the movie Ratatouille, or are simply looking for a fun and unique way to spend an afternoon at EPCOT, then make a reservation at Chez Gusteau’s! Remy will be waiting to take you on a culinary odyssey!

Au revoir!

Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind

1. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind

“We’re The Guardians of The Galaxy.” – Peter Quill

Hello Terrans, or inhabitants of the place you call Earth, you start off in a queue that is pretty unique. It is called the Galaxarium, which is another word for planetarium. Here you will explore the parallels and distinctions between Xandar and Earth. You will get the opportunity to see some of the wonders of Xandar and gain insights into their advanced technology.

After being addressed by a Xandarian supercomputer you will enter a gallery showcasing Xandarian ships, Nova Corps uniforms, and interviews with the Guardians of the Galaxy.

During your tour you will be brought to a briefing about the Cosmic Generator by Nova Prime Irani Rael and Centurion Tal Marik. This is where it all goes wrong and the Celestial Eson steals the Cosmic Generator with a threat to erase Terra’s existence, setting the stage for the ride ahead.

Don’t worry though as the Guardians of the Galaxy answer the distress call and will help you along the way! Rocket suggests that the Terrans (you) follow Eson through jumpholes via your evacuation shuttles and that the Guardians will meet you at your destination.

Terrans will spin and whirl through space witnessing incredible visuals as you and the Guardians battle with Eson. Hopefully you will be able to recover the Cosmic Generator and make your way back to EPCOT safely with the help of the Guardians! I can’t help you if you don’t.

This attraction requires riders to be 42in (107cm) or taller. I should also warn you that if you or anyone in your party gets motion sick easily, then maybe sit this one out.

This is also an attraction that requires guests to join a virtual queue. There is no standby queue like other attractions.

In the end, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is quite the experience. It is a quest through space to save the galaxy which is fit for anyone that is seeking a thrill!

The galaxy is counting on you!
